From the North of Appin:

Following the A828 after passing through the village of Appin with church and Village Hall on the right at the crest of a hill, turn Right onto minor road signed North Shian. Continue 2 miles to T-junction, turn right after 1/4 mile (approx.). There are three houses by the roadside on left - Spring Cottage is the third house. Housename on wooden gate.

From the South of Appin:

Following the A828 after crossing the bridge at Creagan, take the second minor road, on left at crest of a hill and 2 miles approximately after the Creagan Inn, signed North Shian. Continue 2 miles to T-junction, turn right, after 1/4 mile (approx). There are three houses by the roadside on left - Spring Cottage is the third house. Housename on wooden gate.

From Port Appin:

Turn at the Airds Hotel onto minor road signed North Shian. Continue up a long hill past Drumneil House and down again to run along side the lochside. The cottage is the first house on the right, 1 1/2 miles approximately from the village.
